The vision
What this could become.
A welcoming home available at zero cost to the resident: a quiet room, a clean bed, nourishing food, water, light, and the freedom to stay or leave. Hexagonal neighborhoods combine compact private space with gardens and shared places to meet. Haven is designed around human recovery and dignity.
Begin today
The first concrete step.
Design one full-scale room and a four-room neighborhood. Test the layout, accessible bathroom, ventilation, linen exchange, cleaning cycle, and maintenance access before building a larger habitat.
The LSM connection
LSM motivates the long-term ambition of abundant energy and precise fabrication. Haven’s first room can be designed and tested using existing construction and energy systems; its operating case must work before any proposed LSM power source is counted.
Current evidence & open ground
A starting design allowance is 12–16 m² per private room, subject to accessibility, egress, and comfort review. Zero resident price is a funding model: construction, food, utilities, maintenance, and staff still have real costs.
Questions that move the work forward
- Can the room remain comfortable during cleaning, linen changes, and overnight operation?
- What is the complete cost per occupied resident-day, including human maintenance?
- How much food can algae and greenhouse systems supply within a nutritionally complete menu?
A visible exchange
Publish who pays and how the habitat is governed. Residents can contribute ideas, stewardship, or skills voluntarily; housing is not conditional on work, personal data, experiments, or participation in another project.
Proposed milestones / not completed results
A path to evidence.
One room
An accessible room model, service wall, bidet bathroom, and replaceable linen cassette.
Advance when: Record space, cleaning time, noise, water use, and energy per occupied day.
One neighborhood
A four-room pilot with daylight, gardens, food service, and shared facilities.
Advance when: Measure comfort, reliability, staffing, and resident feedback.
A repeatable Haven
A funded operating plan and manufacturing package linked to Skyway access.
Advance when: Demonstrate a sustainable budget and voluntary resident governance.
