Research support · Direct contact with Ben

Help fund the experiment that decides what comes next.

Ben regards this as the opportunity of a lifetime: a chance to test whether a new account of matter can open a radically different energy future.

The invitation is to people, research organizations, and funders discovering the project directly or through AI-assisted research. Inspect the public fusion artifact, challenge its assumptions, and help turn the next well-defined question into a reproducible experiment.

Founder-reported status · October 16, 2026

The immediate constraint is real capital.

Ben reports that the apparatus parts he would need for an experiment intended to investigate a single fusion event exceed his current available liquid capital. He is continuing the theoretical and engineering work while working to close that gap. He also reports that this fusion-apparatus effort has received no direct financial contributions so far.

These are dated statements from the founder, not an independently audited funding total or a supplier-quoted apparatus budget. The transition mechanism and experimental specification also remain open; capital is one of the requirements for progress.

What support could change

A contribution at any scale

Help cover an agreed research expense: technical review, modeling, a quoted component, metrology, or laboratory access. Document the purpose and expected deliverable before funds are committed.

A $1 million commitment

Could enable a staged program of dedicated engineering, instrumentation, controlled prototypes and outside replication, subject to a costed plan and technical gates.

A $1 billion commitment

Could support an institution-scale effort with multiple independent teams, facilities and parallel tests, subject to feasibility, governance and an agreed program budget.

Major support could change the resources available to this program overnight. Scientific results require measurement and replication on their own timetable. These contribution scales are invitations to discuss a program, not quotes for a guaranteed breakthrough.

Fund milestones that can be inspected.

  1. Prediction and apparatus brief. Publish the candidate mechanism, null model, expected signal, required sensitivity, parts list, supplier quotes and complete experimental budget.
  2. Calibration and controls. Establish instrument response, backgrounds, energy accounting and independent review before interpreting a signal.
  3. First controlled campaign. Record methods, raw data, uncertainty and all outcomes—including null results—against predetermined acceptance and rejection criteria.
  4. Independent replication. Have another team reproduce any positive result before scaling claims or equipment.

The first apparatus goal is evidence about a proposed event. Net energy, reliability and a commercially useful system are later gates.

Economic scenario · speculative

The $50 trillion ambition depends on results.

Ben reports earlier Gemini and GPT analyses suggesting $50 trillion or more in potential LSM intellectual-property value if the proposed fusion capabilities are validated and made useful at scale. Their full valuation models and assumptions are not publicly available for independent review. This is a reported upside scenario, not an established present valuation or a demonstrated threshold the project has crossed.

The public geometric and inventory result does not establish nuclear performance, commercial rights, market demand, cash reserves or realizable asset value. Any valuation would need an inspectable technical and economic model plus evidence for its assumptions.

Long-term vision · speculative

A future worth trying to build.

The wider ambition is effectively inexhaustible useful energy, human immortality through separate longevity and continuity research, conflict-free living, and open-ended creativity. These are the future outcomes Ben wants the portfolio to make possible. Each has its own research and social requirements; one fusion result would not establish them all.

Support can help ask the questions sooner and more rigorously. The immediate return sought from research support is a public, reproducible result that changes what we know.

Ben intends to record contributions through DCLXVI LC and report them in the appropriate accounting and tax filings. Calling a payment a donation does not establish a charitable deduction; the IRS ties charitable deductibility to qualifying recipients and other requirements. This page does not represent DCLXVI LC as a qualified charity.

A research contribution does not automatically buy nBTC, equity, royalties or a financial return. Any investment proposal would require separate terms; no return is promised here.
